Questions
What is a college playoff survivor pool?
A survivor pool played over the college football playoff alone. Every entry picks one team in each round: the first round, the quarterfinals, the semifinals and the national championship. A winning pick moves on to the next round and a losing pick is out.
Can the pool include conference championship weekend?
Yes. Start at conference championship weekend instead, and play that weekend on its own or with the playoff after it. The teams picked that weekend are available again for the playoff, unless the commissioner turns that off.
When can I start one?
Now. A pool that starts with the playoff can be created until the first round kicks off, and one that starts at conference championship weekend until that weekend's first kickoff.
Can an entry use the same team twice?
Not by default: each team once, and a commissioner can allow repeats instead. If none of an entry's unused teams is playing in a round, every team in that round opens up to it again, for that round only.
When do picks lock?
Playoff rounds lock at their first game, or game by game, where each pick locks when its own game kicks off. Conference championship weekend can also lock on Saturday at noon Eastern.
How much does a college playoff pool cost?
Free up to 10 entries. A bigger pool pays one flat price based on its size, half our NFL rates, starting at $9 for up to 25 entries. It is due before the pool's first game.
