What is an NFL playoff survivor pool?
A survivor pool played over the NFL playoffs alone. Every entry picks one team in each round: the Wild Card round, the Divisional round, the Conference Championships and the Super Bowl. A winning pick moves on to the next round and a losing pick is out.
When can I start one?
Now, and up to the first Wild Card kickoff. Set the pool up, send your link, and everyone makes their first pick once the Wild Card matchups are set after Week 18.
Can an entry use the same team twice?
Not by default: each team can be used once across the four rounds. A commissioner can allow repeats instead.
What if an entry has already used both Super Bowl teams?
Then it has no pick left and is out. A commissioner can turn on the Super Bowl reset, which makes every team available again for the final pick.
When do picks lock?
The commissioner chooses: at the first game of each round, at the first Sunday game of each round, or game by game, where each pick locks when its own game kicks off.
What if everyone left loses in the same round?
Then they are co-champions, unless the commissioner revives them before the next round's deadline to keep the pool going. The Super Bowl has no next round, so entries that survive it together, or all lose it, share the title. An optional Super Bowl score prediction can rank co-champions: the closest total first, then the closest AFC score, then the closest NFC score.
How much does a playoff pool cost?
Free up to 10 entries. A bigger pool pays one flat price based on its size, starting at $19 for up to 25 entries. It is due before the Wild Card round, and a pool over 10 entries makes its picks once it is paid.
Every priceCan a season pool carry on into the playoffs instead?
Yes. Turn on Playoffs in a season pool and, if more than one entry survives Week 18, it plays on through the Wild Card round to the Super Bowl.
